Are you one of THOSE people who can’t wait until Halloween to get into your favorite superhero costume? Ignore THOSE critics who call you a geek because you are 35 years old and dressed up as Wonder Woman. Chances are they have never experienced the excitement generated at the most popular celebration of comics, characters and pop culture.

Phoenix Comicon 2015 promises to be bigger and better than ever. It is one of the most highly attended conventions in the state of Arizona. The event is so big that it spills out of the Phoenix Convention Center on North Third Street and into three nearby hotels (The Hyatt Regency Phoenix, The Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, and the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown).

Thousands and thousands are expected to come to Phoenix Comicon 2015. The much anticipated festivities begin on Thursday, May 28 and run through Sunday, May 31. All ages are welcome. Families, couples, and friends all are there to have a great time. The atmosphere is both laid-back and electric. Everyone is accepting of all the different folks from different backgrounds that show up at Comicon. The cosplayers exude energy and make it feel like there is electricity in the air.

It is perfectly acceptable to let out a little scream when you come face-to-face with your favorite comic characters, but don’t try to grab them. Say hi and most will be happy to pose for a picture. For even better memories of Phoenix Comicon 2015, get someone to take a picture of you posing with the costumed characters you just love and adore.

The most recent celebrity secured for the big happening is Christopher Lloyd. Lloyd played the irreverent Reverend Jim on the star-filled (Judd Hirsch, Danny Devito, Tony Danza, Marilu Henner) hit TV show Taxi. An accomplished Hollywood actor, Christopher Lloyd is perhaps best known for his role as Doc Emmett Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy.

Lou Ferrigno, a.k.a. The Incredible Hulk, is one of the more famous and recognizable
faces you might get a chance to see. A regular at some of the biggest Comicon events around the country, Ferrigno was also well known for playing himself as the next-door neighbor of Doug and Carrie Heffernan on the TV series, The King of Queens.

While many of the celebrities and comic characters on hand will be happy to pose for a photo or sign an autograph, there is also a special section on the third floor of the North Building where you can purchase an autograph or enjoy a photo op of your favorite actors and actresses. Among the celebrities who will be selling autographs and photos are Barry Bostwick (The Rocky Horror Picture Show), Christina Carpenter (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica, Miami Vice). Olmos and some of the others who charge for their signatures are not doing it to make a buck. They direct their earnings to charitable causes.
