Enjoy Some Family Fun at Enchanted Island Amusement Park

Enchanted Island Amusement Park Family 2016

Theme parks are great for making memories, and Enchanted Island is the best in Arizona when it comes to charm. Located in Phoenix’s scenic Encanto Park, this quaint amusement center is full of possibilities. Although it’s aimed at younger children, the park is the perfect place for adults to let loose. Bring your family and friends for an afternoon of laughs, thrills, games, treats and magic.

Classic Delights

Enchanted Island offers nine amusing attractions that appeal to a range of personalities. For a quick adrenaline rush, head straight to the dizzying Rock-N-Roll teacups, or soar through the air on the Red Baron planes. More courageous adventurers may want to settle into the side-by-side Parachute Tower seats where they’ll rise to heights tall enough to view beautiful downtown Phoenix.

Dragon rideThe park also has an old-time midway complete with traditional carnival games and cheery barkers. After your youngsters test their skills, saunter over to the crystal-clear lagoon for a relaxing ride on the pedal boats or canoes. Smaller children can climb into bumper boats to enjoy mini splash-and-crash battles. The specially designed pool is safe, clean and easy to navigate.

Effortless Enjoyment

One of the best things about this intimate park is the relaxing atmosphere. If you aren’t keen on rides, you can still find plenty of enjoyment. A must for your to-do list is the C.P. Huntington train, a replica of a full-size version. You can re-energize as you take a tranquil tour of the island. Afterward, stroll over to the famous carousel. This 50-year-old piece of history is truly enthralling.

If your little ones still have some energy left, let them release it on the Dragon Wagon coaster, Kiddie Cars or Splash Zone. There are also small, coin-operated rides that are just as delightful as the larger alternatives. While the kids burn off their youthful steam, you can enjoy some tasty carnival fare from the snack bar. Be sure to grab a bag of buttery popcorn or fluffy cotton candy for the ride home.

Individual ride tickets at Enchanted Island are $1.25, and day passes are available at special rates. The park is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with extra hours on weekends. When visiting the area, you can stay at Best Western Plus Scottsdale Thunderbird Suites Hotel and take the quick, 30-minute drive any time you want to experience the enchantment.
